Sunday the 31st of May 2026: Feeling the heat and seeking the shade.

The last time that I had visited Bogend was of course on Sunday the 10th of May 2026, and well despite it being Spring, there were some clues as to what season was just waiting in the wings. Fast forward of course to Sunday the 31st of May, and where was I? Well that would of course be back at Bogend, and despite it being Meteorological Spring - there was something quite perplexing, quite unusual and that would be,

"That the end of May, despite it being Meterological Spring, was rather warm....... Too warm and where did I want to seek some shade at and re-visit? Bogend."

And surely enough I was back at Bogend. Of course though when I had arrived this time around the heat was lets just say at 25+ degrees, a slight element of humidity could be felt, but what did I come across this time around? Well arts and foliage that really was in full bloom, things looked a little bit more lush than they had done on Sunday the 10th of May, when I had last visited, the greenery seemed that little bit more beautiful and as I walked down the footpath and through the art gallery of nature, of Bogend, well below is what I had captured. And after my visit this time around in the back of my mind were other questions, such as "I really do wonder what the Summer will provide within the gallery of Bogend?" Who knows, but that is the mystery of visiting a location throughout the various seasons, and seeing the seasons change the landscape in front of you."

Sunday the 10th of May 2026: When a "transition in the seasons" happens.

It was on Monday the 4th of May 2026 when I had last visited Bogend, of course that date also coincided with - Star Wars Day, what is that saying? Oh that would of course be "May the 4th be With You!" And yet despite it being Spring, the weather was a bit meh, a bit grey. Fast forward some six days later, thus slightly unplanned and where was I again? Well that of course happened to be back at Bogend, a location that really even in such a short amount of space had changed yet again, gone of course this time was the rather meh kind of grey that I had encountered on Monday the 4th of May 2026, and instead this time around I was blessed with a beautiful blue sky, with some delightful clouds and a truly glorious afternoon light which made things seem that little bit more magical, and as I was walking along the pathway to Bogend, what was in the mind? Well the following,

"Last time I had visited Bogend, I saw the last of any Bluebells, for the ones I did see were past there best, the White Bells that I came across they still had a glow about them, but again though I knew back then that a transition was beginning to take place, for May is very much still seasonally classed as Spring - but it is also a month of Transitions within the seasons, and it is also the part of the year in which Spring and the colours fade away for more lush greens and hidden colours which are also worth finding. For here I was at Bogend yet again, the colours of Spring now past there best, elements of Summer beginning to show themselves and Bogend, well it is akin to an art gallery, created, crafted and curated by nature."

And as I walked along, yes the colours of Spring had been and gone, but already Bogend seemed very much alive, the lush greens which really have come back seemed that little bit more beautiful, and the landscape and woodlands magical, accompanying it of course was a soundtrack of Birds, and Bird Song which seemed to be like a glorious classical music arrangement, and below are the photos that I managed to capture this time around.

Monday the 4th of May 2026: Despite the Spring Grey, The Arts of Spring and Vibrant Greenery Provided something Truly Magical.

The last time I had visited Bogend was on April the 25th 2026, a Saturday and it was also early evening, for it had also been a delightful day with a glorious warmth, a delightful blue sky and everything just seemed magical. But of course time has a unique and complex way of passing by, and with that nature also has a unique and complex way of adjusting to time and also creating new works of art that you can come across and find. For one of the questions I had asked myself in the mind after the last time I had visited Bogend was the following question,

"What will I find, and what other works of art will nature have provided when I next visit? For will my next visit be within the season of Spring or will it be in the Summer?"

And then what happened? Well the month of April bid farewell and surely another page in the year and season was changed, this time the chapter being Spring, the page, being May and to be exact The 4th of May 2026. Yes since the last time though things had changed, the Bluebells that I had seen on my last visit, well they had seemingly gone, and in a lot of other places the Bluebells are now looking as if they have passed their best. Yet this time around though on my visit to Bogend, what did I come across? Well for a start a rather "meh and grey sky." But that did not matter, as beneath that grey Spring sky, I came across the fine arts of nature, various new plants growing and some of them in bloom, plus of course a rather vibrant and green looking Bogend, that this time around really had been transformed by nature into a living art gallery that I just had to capture. And below are the works of art that I captured today on May the 4th 2026. Still though, what other arts will I come across next time around? Who knows, but already I am looking forward to finding the beauty of surprises the next time I visit Bogend, already.

"Vibrant Green and the Pathway to Arts."

"When Blue Compliments the Green."

"Mystery, Atmosphere and the Pathway towards Art."

"Triffid, Fern Greens. Portraiture and Arts."

And of course as it is May the 4th 2026 - I must also add a huge, "Happy Star Wars Day, and May the 4th be with you." There we go, someone had to say it!

Saturday the 25th of April 2026: When the right kind of Spring Light creates Art and Beauty.

It was late March of 2026 that I had last visited Bogend, well to be exact it was of course on Saturday The 28th Of March - and well back then, lets just say that "Spring was beginning to show itself." However though things still had a slightly bare element to them." But of course nature has a certain way of creating and crafting works of art within the landscape, and after my last visit to Bogend of course I asked myself the following question which was in the mind,

"For what will I see on the next visit to Bogend? Will I be visiting Bogend in the Spring, in The Summer? When will it be, and what changes will have happened?"

Fast forward of course to Saturday the 28th of April and yet again the opportunity to visit Bogend had arisen. This time around I had noticed a change, a change of course within the landscape and of course a change within what transformations and works of art nature had been creating - helped along the way of course with some incredibly glorious Spring Weather and a delightful Warmth. And when I arrived at Bogend, well over a somewhat short period of time, things were looking less bare than they were doing on Saturday the 28th of March. More foliage had arrived, and under a delightful blue sky yet again, I just had to explore this delightful area once again. Accompanied of course by the sounds of nature and birdsong that just sounded like a piece of classical music being played, and below are the photos from this time around.

Of course though, Spring progresses, Summer also arrives but what will I see next time I visit this beautiful and delightful location? Who knows but "perhaps that is the magic of Bogend."

Saturday the 28th of March 2026: A glorious Spring Light and the beauty of a Bare Woodland.

It was on Sunday the 22nd of February 2026 when I last visited Bogend, and well it was just on the cusp of the seasons changing, yes it might have been the last part of Winter but in the back of the mind - I knew that Spring was just awaiting in the wings, that being said though there was a complete lack of any decent light and instead I had to capture Bogend quite simply,

"In Black and White, stepping back in time perhaps and stepping in the shoes of Ansel Adams to come up with some photos that highlighted the bleakness and rawness of the latter part of Winter and of course a rather flat light, but to make that flat light into something else to make it work."

Fast forward to Saturday the 28th of March 2026, and "hold on what is that?" For Meteorological Spring/Spring so far has been something of a rather mixed bag, yes warmth, yes a reminder that even in the Spring, winter elements can be felt, but again though this time around - thankfully the conditions were on my side, and there was a glorious Spring light, the skies blue and clear and this time around well I captured some photos from the top end of Bogend, near where there is some car parking, before taking a walk down the pathway towards the brook, initially I was somewhat nervous as to the following question, "will it be claggy?" But instead it was not claggy, the footpath towards the brook and via the glorious woodlands was just delightful to walk along, and whilst the woodlands of Bogend might have been somewhat bare, there was a glorious Spring light, just gently seeping through the woodlands, and whilst the woodlands were bare, they seemed beautiful, and in a somewhat early stage of awakening, for it might have been bare, but life, yes wildlife is slowly returning and I wonder what it will look like next time. But below are the photos that I managed to capture today, on Saturday the 28th of March 2026.
